If you are a parent of an autistic child and wish you knew how to shift from using rewards and external reinforcement to supporting your child develop independence, agency and intrinsic motivation, perhaps you are experiencing a child with a fixed mindset and feel exhausted from the negative attitude that comes with it, then this workshop will really help you to make the transition for a more positive experience / relationship together. 

Transitioning from rewards, external reinforcement and a fixed mindset to intrinsic motivation and a growth mindset

 This workshop is taking place on Tuesday 2nd March 2021 at 10am - 11.30am

During this 1.5 hour workshop you will learn:

  • To recognise the difference between what a fixed and growth mindset is
  • How to encourage and inspire the growth mindset
  • What the obstacles to rewards, sticker charts and external reinforcement are
  • How to move away from rewards, sticker charts and external reinforcement and towards developing intrinsic motivation instead
  • What to stop doing and what to start doing to make this transition

 

This is not a pre-recorded workshop, so there will be opportunities for live discussion and questions as we move through the content. However if you cannot make the date you can still benefit from the replay of the workshop
